Journalist Binod Dhaulagiri Releases Two Books on Journalism

Two books by journalist Binod Prasad Sharma (Binod Dhaulagiri) were released on Wednesday Kartik 19 2082BS. The books, titled “Principles of Reporting and Editing” and “The Art of Writing,” are designed for the Media Technology subject at the postgraduate level of Purbanchal University. They were jointly launched by Dr. Suresh Prasad Acharya, Chief Information Commissioner of the National Information Commission, and Kabita Sharma, Campus Chief of Shephard College,Kathmandu.

The book launch event, held at Shephard College in Kathmandu, featured remarks by Dr. Acharya, who emphasized that these books would be valuable not only for students studying journalism but also for those seeking knowledge in specific subject areas, skills, and writing techniques.

Kabita Sharma, the Campus Chief at Shephard College, expressed her happiness about the publication of these books based on the curriculum.

Author Binod Dhaulagiri shared that the books were created to fill the gap in curriculum-based books that he and his peers had experienced during their studies.

Both books are part of the first semester curriculum for the Master’s in Media Technology (MMT) program at Purbanchal University. Dhaulagiri, who is also the editor of WashKhabar.com, digital magazine, is a central committee member of the Nepal Press Union.
