Singer and composer Tank Budathoki has made a single song public in seven Nepali languages. He has released the song ‘Dhanyabad’ in Nepali, Newari, Tamang, Tharu, Rajbanshi, Khas, and Bhojpuri languages.
On Saturday, the video of the song was made public during an event at Kathmandu’s QFX Cinema Hall. The seven videos are publicly available on Tanka’s official YouTube channel. The lyrics and music of this song are also composed by Tanka. He is accompanied by vocalist Annu Chaudhary. This collaboration marks the first between Tanka and Annu.
The video of the song features dance and acting by Rahul Shah and Samisrika Pariyar. In the Tharu version of the song’s video, singers Tanka and Annu themselves have acted.
Guest of honor and Federal Parliament Member Sunil Keshi praised Tanka’s new endeavor during the program. He thanked Tanka for making a single song public in seven Nepali languages, possibly a first in Nepal, and for supporting the preservation and enrichment of the Nepali language. Similar sentiments were expressed by entrepreneur Tika Budhathoki, who also extended his best wishes for the success of the song.
