India and Pakistan Announce Immediate and Full Ceasefire Agreement

In a major diplomatic breakthrough, India and Pakistan have agreed to a full ceasefire, effective immediately. Senior officials from both nations announced the decision today, confirming that all military actions across land, air, and sea will be suspended.

The agreement was jointly disclosed by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Mishri. According to Mishri, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan held a telephonic conversation with his Indian counterpart earlier today, during which both sides confirmed the ceasefire deal.

“In a mutual understanding reached this afternoon, both nations have agreed to halt all types of military operations across land, air, and sea, starting from 5:00 PM Indian Standard Time today,” Mishri stated in a brief official release.

Both countries have instructed their respective DGMOs to ensure the implementation of the agreement without delay. Furthermore, another round of dialogue between Indian and Pakistani officials is scheduled for May 12 at 12:00 PM.

Speaking to Geo TV, Deputy Prime Minister Dar clarified that the ceasefire is not partial, but a complete agreement aimed at de-escalating ongoing tensions. He also mentioned that the military hotline and communication channels between the two countries have been reactivated as part of the accord.

This development is seen as a hopeful step toward restoring peace and stability in the region.
