“Declaration of separation from Nepali Congress” – Dr. Swarnim Wagle

TSCUpdate T

I have decided to separate from the Nepali Congress Party, which has been associated with my involvement since the ‘Satyagraha’ of 2042BS and the Jana Andolan of 2046 and the family legacy of 50 years.
Within that party, indirectly for 30 years and directly for the last 10 years, I contributed significantly to economic policy and planning, intellectual-theoretical discussion and training, and expansion of international legitimacy. I am especially proud that both Sushil Koirala and Sher Bahadur Deuba in the Planning Commission have been able to uphold the honor of the country by carrying out their responsibilities with skill. But in recent years, every self-respecting Congressman who has observed the activities within the Congress party has bowed his head. The historic team of Jananayak BP Koirala, Ganeshman Singh, Suvarna Shamsher and Kishunji is now turning into a dysfunctional gang of in-laws.
Now the good people of Congress-Communist, supporters of freedom and development who are not affiliated to the party, Nepalis who are outside the periphery of elite politics, and Nepalis who remember the good of Nepal even if they live abroad, should build a strong alternative democratic force. I will be active in a new public role with the beginning of 2080BS, carrying the agenda of clean democracy and economic progress on the foundation of good governance. It is to create the hope that ‘this country will become’ by breaking the general despair. Jai Nepal
