Nepal and UAE have qualified for the finals of the ACC Premier Cup Cricket tournament held in Kathmandu. Nepal secured their spot after the match against Kuwait was affected by rain, while UAE reached the finals by defeating Oman on the DLS system with a 2-run victory.
Although the Nepal-Kuwait match was shortened due to rain, Nepal set a target of 281 runs on the DLS system. Kuwait managed to score 37 runs and lost 6 wickets in 8.3 overs before the match was stopped again due to rain. As Kuwait did not play for 20 overs, the result could not be given by the DLS system, making the match meaningless. Nepal advanced to the finals after winning the group and entering the semi-finals.
In the other semi-final, UAE successfully defended their target of 237 runs against Oman, who scored 190 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 43 overs before the match was suspended due to rain.
The final match will take place on Monday, while Kuwait and Oman will compete for third place on Sunday.
