Media Hub Pvt. Ltd. has taken the right to broadcast the live FIFA World Cup 2022 in Nepal.
Media Hub has already entered into an agreement with the service provider to collect a fee of 500 rupees for watching the live broadcast of the football World Cup which is going to be held in Qatar.

Advocate Kishore Paudel filed a petition in the Supreme Court on November 6, demanding that additional fees should not be collected from consumers in the name of live broadcasting of World Cup football. NITV Streams Pvt. Ltd., Vianet Communication Pvt. Ltd., Apad Execution Pvt. Ltd. have been filed as opponents in the writ petition. While hearing the said writ, the Supreme Court issued a show cause order in the name of the opposition on November 8 and summoned both sides for discussion on Wednesday.

The World Cup will be held in Qatar starting from November 4. For the first time in Nepal, a fee is going to be collected from consumers who watch the live broadcast of World Cup football. This time, the media hub has been claiming that every country will have separate broadcast rights as the live broadcast of World Cup football will be broadcast only in a certain geographical area.
