The group focuses on investing and entrepreneurship in the service sector, infrastructure development, and manufacturing sector, with companies in remit, banking, trade, information technology, communication, energy, tourism, hotels and resorts, automobiles, insurance, sports, and entertainment.

Dhakal’s IME Group has also contributed significantly to the formal economy of Nepal by bringing remittances into the country through legal means, saving workers from unnecessary hassles and fraud.
